Swimming award categories
Swimming has a natural award structure: events by stroke and distance, plus age-group champions. Club end of season presentations usually add awards for effort and progress.
- Age-group champions for club championships
- Stroke awards: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly
- Individual Medley champion
- Relay team winners
- Most Improved Swimmer and Swimmer of the Year
- Coach’s Award and Best Attendance at training
Medals for galas, trophies for champions
At a gala with dozens of races, medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each event are the most practical option. Our medals start from £1.25 and most cost around £2 before bulk discount.
Save trophies for age-group champions and end of season awards. A swimming trophy, in a size that steps up with the importance of the award, gives your presentation evening a clear hierarchy.
Tip: Use your gala programme to count medals: number of events multiplied by three, plus spares for dead heats. It’s the quickest way to get an accurate quote.
Pricing and engraving for swim clubs
We beat catalogue prices, and the bigger your order, the bigger your discount. Swim galas often need well over 100 medals, which puts them into our highest discount band. Standard items usually dispatch in 3–7 working days and bulk orders typically take 10–14 working days.
Engraving is free on qualifying orders. Some swimming wording ideas that fit most designs:
- “Club Championships 2026: 12 & Under Champion”
- “50m Butterfly 1st” for event trophies
- “Swimmer of the Year” with the swimmer’s name
Club championships vs school galas
Club championships usually run over several sessions with age-group and stroke events, so a mix of medals for each race and trophies for age-group champions is typical. Ask for both in a single quote to get the best discount.
School galas are often simpler, with house or year-group competitions. A cup for the winning house and medals for individual winners works well and keeps costs low.
Whichever you’re running, ordering from one supplier keeps medals and trophies matching, and makes it easy to reorder the same design next season.
