Trophy Cups: popular designs
Choosing the right trophy cup
Size is the first decision. A small cup works as a winner's keepsake for each player, while a larger cup makes a better centrepiece for the team captain to lift. Many tournaments use both: one large cup for the winning team and smaller ones for each player.
For a perpetual trophy that stays with the club, choose a cup with room for engraving year after year, or pair it with a shield or plinth. Our perpetual trophies guide explains how to plan for future years.
Ideas for using cups
- League champions and cup final winners
- Tournament winner and runner-up
- Annual club awards such as clubman of the year
- Golf society, darts and pub league competitions
- Fun awards and sports day house cups
Tip: Pair a winner's cup with medals for the whole squad. It is one of the most cost-effective ways to make everyone feel part of the win.
Ordering trophy cups
Send us the cup design number, quantity and wording on WhatsApp. We will check the engraving fits and reply with a free, no-obligation quote. Standard items usually dispatch in 3 to 7 working days.
Cups versus figure trophies
Figure trophies show the sport at a glance, which is why they are popular for player awards. Cups are more universal: the same cup works for football, darts, golf, bowls or a quiz league, and it always reads as a winner's award.
That makes cups a good choice for organisers who run several competitions and want one consistent look across them. It also makes them ideal for perpetual awards, because a cup never looks out of date. For a top-tier perpetual honour, larger prestige cups and bowls are also available at higher prices.
If you are not sure which suits your event, send us a quick message on WhatsApp with what the award is for and we will suggest a few options.
